FCC Hudson Youth Ministries is excited to announce a new initiative aimed at nurturing your student’s sense of leadership and faith within our community. To this end we will be piloting program for high schoolers centered around three new awards that are designed to stimulate volunteerism, leadership, and engagement. Through this program, we want to help cultivate your student’s leadership skills, nurture their heart for serving others, deepen their relationships in our faith community, and recognize them for the incredible human being they already are – all while setting them up for success in their future.

Two of our awards – the Student Service Award and the Student Engagement Award will be given out annually to any student that meets a threshold of engagement and service criteria outlined in this packet. Our Student Leader of the Year will be selected by the Youth Board annually from the students that show exemplary dedication to participation, leadership, and service.

Most of our service opportunities transfer to the various service hour requirements that schools have – helping set your student up for success in communities like Key Club and National Honors Society. The experiences we have to offer also look great on college applications as well! Above all, the relationships that are created here have the potential to last a lifetime and be a source of support for your student throughout high school and beyond.

Please take some time to review the different awards and various ways in which your student can earn credit towards each type of award by clicking here. Credit toward this pilot year will be tracked beginning in January through May. I look forward to working alongside your student as they grow into a compassionate and selfless leader!
