David

David comes to us after a remarkable career as one of New England’s most respected musicians. He taught at the University of Vermont beginning in 1982, where he now holds the title of Professor Emeritus. He has performed professionally as a baritone, conducted major choral-orchestral works, prepared choirs for significant orchestral performances, and has been especially known for his work with both the great choral tradition and new music.

David and his husband have retired in Cleveland Heights, and we are grateful that retirement has brought him into the musical life of First Congregational Church. As a fun connection, David’s husband grew up at Trinity UCC in Akron, the congregation that continues to worship at the new 915 North Main Community Connection Center.
