Bringing Faith To All Abilities
In a special ministry partnership, The First Congregational Church of Hudson and The Living Water Association have teamed up to offer the services of Allison Factor to the sibling congregations of the LWA. Ms. Factor serves on the staff in Hudson as a Special Needs Support Specialist, helping to shape our ministries to be more inclusive to a wider range of children and youth with varying abilities. She is available on a consulting basis to the wider UCC at no cost to those congregations to help guide them in a similar mission to help ministry leaders and families partner in the work of creating inclusive ministry environments for children and youth.
Meet Allison Factor
Throughout the last five years as an educator in the public school system in Northeast Ohio, I have been trained in multiple trauma-informed care and educative styles such as Conscious Discipline, Crisis-Prevention-Intervention, Applied Behavioral Analysis, Character Strong social emotional curriculums, and more! While staying up to date on new findings and applying my real-life experiences, I hope to empower educators and ministry leaders through a greater understanding of the social-emotional and behavioral needs of children and youth.
