First Congregational Church of Hudson, United Church of Christ

                         Christmas Eve 2005

Worship

The Psalmist tells us: This is the day which the Lord has made, let us rejoice and be glad in it. What better reason could there be to share in for worship as the central activity of Christian community? The people of this congregation are blessed with a rich history as the church gathered by the founder of our town, David Hudson. We remain rooted in traditional mainline Protestant worship. The heart of our worship is the proclamation of God’s Word today as it speaks to our lives today, offered through preaching, prayer and music. We encourage you to join with us as we open ourselves to God’s word alive among us. Most Sundays throughout the year we worship at 9:00 and at 10:45 a.m. Communion is celebrated the first Sunday of every month. Church school and child care are offered at both services. Children and youth are always a part of the service, sharing in prayers and hymns. Following a children’s message, they meet together in their church school classes. We invite you to be a part of our time of prayer, confession, meditation, contemplation and renewal. Worship is a time to express our joy and thanksgiving; and to seek the peace and comfort offered by the Spirit.
