The Endowment Funds
of
The First Congregational Church of Hudson
The General Endowment Fund
Purpose: The General Endowment Fund exists to provide long-term financial health for the First Congregational Church. The General Endowment Fund is a separately incorporated entity formed for the sole purpose of supporting the First Congregational Church and will be utilized for the development and expansion of the ministries of the First Congregational Church that are beyond the parameters of the General Operating Budget. The primary objective for the management of these gifts is to provide resources to further the mission of the Church, now and in the future. It is the intention of this policy that these gifts will be handled with care and prudence. The principle-the original gifts and bequests-remain intact, invested to produce income that benefits the programs of the church each year.
Mission Endowment Fund
Purpose: The Mission Endowment Fund exists to enhance the giving potential of our church’s outreach ministry The Mission Endowment fund will be utilized to establish or maintain outreach programs or projects which are consistent with the aims of the Mission Board Those aims include, but are not limited to : providing scholarships; funding educational programming; providing funding for additional outreach ministries
The Youth Endowment Fund
Purpose: The Youth Endowment Fund exists to provide funding for the operations and special programs for our youth ministry. The Youth Endowment Fund will be utilized to establish or maintain programs which are consistent with the aims of the Youth Board. Those aims may include, but are not limited to: supporting students in missionary work; purchasing program equipment; funding guest speakers; providing funding for continuing education of Youth Director; providing youth scholarships; funding for a variety of mission trips and field work.

Purpose: The Music Endowment Fund exists to provide funding for the operations and special programs. The Music Endowment Fund will be utilized to establish or maintain programs which are consistent with the aims of the Music Board. Those aims may include, but are not limited to: providing funds for concert series; providing scholarships; purchasing and maintaining our instrument collection; providing funds for organ enhancements; providing funding for support staff.
Building Preservation Fund
Purpose: The Building Preservation Fund exists to provide funding for planned, preventative maintenance or emergencies of the building and grounds. The Building Preservation Fund will be utilized to establish a building maintenance plan which is consistent with the aims of the Trustees Board and the Spending Policy. Those aims may include but are not limited to, projects not covered by maintenance contracts or general repair events that exceed $500 per occurrence.
Stewardship is a JOYFUL act for the sake of God’s work.
