Deacon Board – This elected group of men and women are the spiritual leaders of the congregation. They serve a three year term and must have been a member of the congregation for at least three years before serving. They make decisions concerning the worship of the congregation and serve as head ushers each Sunday.

Deaconess Board – This elected board of women serves as the group that maintains the prayer list for the congregation, promising to pray daily for those on the list and offering support to the families of the church who might need additional assistance through their caring ministry. They also serve the funeral receptions following a funeral/memorial service at the church. They are responsible for setting up the sanctuary each Sunday, distributing the floral offerings to people in the church, and overseeing the work of the Called to Care group.

Our Board of Deaconesses maintains a confidential list of people for whom they pray daily. If you would like to add a name to this list, please call any of the pastors, the church office, or contact the senior deaconess directly. The current senior deaconess is Paula Phillips.
